Welcome to Heartberry Soda

Nadine Jopson, a member of Alexander Cree First Nation, is the founder of Heartberry Soda, an Indigenous woman-owned craft beverage company inspired by the belief that beverages can nourish more than the body, they can nourish connection, culture and community.

As an Indigenous entrepreneur, Nadine created Heartberry Soda to celebrate Indigenous plant medicines, languages and traditional knowledge in a way the feels approachable and part of everyday life. After several years of her and her husband in the craft beer industry, she saw an opportunity to introduce people to her culture through thoughtfully curated non-alc, low-sugar beverages created with local ingredients, while creating a brand rooted in respect, curiosity and connection.

For Nadine, Heartberry Soda has always been about more then just creating a great tasting soda. It’s about creating opportunities for Indigenous representation in the food and beverage industry, supporting Indigenous businesses and communities and helping people build a deeper appreciation for the land and the knowledge it continues to provide. She is building more than a beverage brand. She is building a legacy rooted in culture, wellness, respect for the land and the belief that everyday moments can inspire curiosity, belonging and lasting connection.

She hopes every experience with Heartberry Soda leaves people feeling a little more connected than before.
